Welcome To Faralya Art House

Faralya Art House is a small guest house and camp in Kabak Koyu with five comfortable rooms (where it’s realy nice COOL to sleep) and a campsite with bungalows and tents. It is located far from the madding tourist crowd, but the touristic area is close enough (Oludeniz sixteen kilometers and Fethiye 28 km) for a nice evening out.
Faralya Art House is the ideal place for your ‘different’ holiday trip without you having to miss out on modern conveniences. (internet) For more pictures

Here is a review of the family Laurfei from Boston, Massachusetts, in the Tripadvisor.

For travelers with a sense of adventure, a love of natural beauty, and a desire for an authentic Turkish experience, skip the city-feel of Fethiye, the overcrowded, tourist-laden, and inauthentic “resort” of Oludeniz, and head straight to Faralya. This gorgeous mountain village (unknown to many Turks) sits on the Mediterranean coast and is an extraordinary natural paradise.

No-frills camping sites and small wooden bungalows are common in this region, but the Faralya Art House is unique in that it offers the comfort of bedroom–with finished floors, walls, and ceilings–while still embracing the simplicity of the natural life. If you prefer sleeping under the stars (among the olive trees and grape vines), sleeping platforms and tent sites are available.

Halil and Henk are superb hosts! They are attentive, warm, and accommodating. Henk is especially eager-to-please in the music department (just ask to see his vast iTunes playlist). Name your favorite music genre and don’t be surprised when it’s the soundtrack to your next meal. The food is tasty, abundant, and authentic. Traditional Turkish breakfasts and multi-course dinners made with organic ingredients from Halil’s garden are served outside under a breathtaking sunset.

Spend your days hiking or trekking the Lycian Way, relaxing at the serene and breathtaking beaches, practicing yoga on a mountain top, horseback riding, parasailing, cruising the turquoise waters, or mountain climbing in Butterfly Valley. (Halil will coordinate this for you.) The location is central and convenient–a 20 minute walk down to the serene, breathtaking beach and about the same up to the main road (on which you can catch the minibus for day trips to the larger towns mentioned above.)

I recommend The Faralya Art House without reservation. It is a comfortable, unique, and memorable way to experience Faralya and enjoy everything this hidden gem of Mediterranean Turkey has to offer.

This new bed and breakfast was in an outstanding setting – the views are impossible to describe. The facility is rustic and best suited for nature lovers and hikers. The trek to the exquisite beach was a bit challenging for this mid-life couple, especially as it was quite hot during the day. Henk and Halil were always available to us – their music collection was eclectic and complemented the surroundings -

There was no air conditioning which, though at a higher altitude, was somewhat challenging for us. Cleanliness was basic – the bathroom had basic amenities. Food was substantial, delicious and a great value.

This is obviously a labor of love for these two kind hearted men and their extended family of friends and they truly go out of thier way for their guests.

This area offers some of the most beautiful scenery along the Turkish Aegean coastline. With lovely bays, clear seas and high mountains. I worked here back in the early 90′s for a small independent tour company. Having looked at your photos and read about your small guest house/camping area I can say that it looks a great place to head for if your looking for something more ethnic. This seems the kind of place that you can enjoy the local culture and eat some delightful Turkish Meze.
